JR owns the biggest art gallery in the world.
he exhibits freely in the streets of the world,
he exhibits freely in the streets of the world,
catching the attention of people who are not the museum visitors.
his work mixes art and act, talks about commitment, freedom, identity and limit.
I am obsessed with JR's photos, ideas, passion, and entire street art philosophy. He fully encompasses the power of art as a unifying force (through his work in Israel & Palestine), as a means of social change and a voice (seen in his work in Tunisia highlighted here), and to call attention to injustice (through his work with women in Africa & elsewhere). I love his participatory art projects, his cause to make art public, to use art as a powerful tool to make a statement, and to support and create change. Here is some of his work, and a short video clip of an interview with him about his work and his recent TED Prize:

His work is so interesting, especially because of how close up he gets to the people he is photographing. Thank you for sharing this!
