The background in the last photo is actually Mt. Hood (if you can make it out ever so slightly). A huge cloud happened to take over right when we got to this outlook. It is amazing how, on a 75 degree and mostly sunny day, we found ourselves trekking through a snow covered trail to get to Mirror Lake. Definitely would be a beautiful hike come later in the summer when the lake reaches its full unfrozen mirror status--but it was still so stunning to see the vibrant greens on such a white backdrop of snow. Among the hike, live music, sun, Saturday Market, brunch, and all, it was a wonderful visit with Anne!

That mountain looks beautiful. Hard to believe there is still snow there when it's 90 degrees here in NYC.
